About the Author

Larry Sanford is a hair stylist and the inventor of hair spray. He started working as a hair stylist in the early 1950s and soon became frustrated with the lack of products that could help him style hair. This led him to invent hair spray, which he first marketed in the early 1960s. Sanford's hair spray was an instant success and soon became a staple in hair salons across the country.
